Restaurant and café alarm system in Leeds, fitted without closing a day
Restaurant and café alarm system in Leeds: wireless, designed for your venue, configured and tested before shipping, no drilling. Get my system proposal.
A cellar bar on Call Lane, a coffee shop in one of the Victorian arcades off Briggate, a family restaurant on Otley Road or a bistro in Chapel Allerton: Leeds hospitality runs late, handles stock that is easy to resell and often sits in old buildings with back yards and cellar hatches. Tell us how your venue is laid out, we design a wireless alarm for it, and once you order, we configure and test the complete kit before it is shipped, so you can fit it between the last cover and the next delivery.
When a restaurant is actually at risk
Most break-ins at food and drink businesses do not happen during service. They happen in the quiet hours, when the staff have gone, the till float is in the office and the delivery is due at seven.
Closing up
The last person out arms the system with a key fob or the keypad. If a back door or a window has been left open, the app tells them before they walk away.
The dead of night
The street is empty and the yard behind the kitchen is out of sight. Contacts on the back door, the cellar hatch and the office react the moment anything opens.
The early delivery
A supplier or the kitchen porter arrives first. They get their own code or fob, so you know who disarmed and when, without handing out the manager’s code.
The closed day
Many independents close on Monday or Tuesday. The alarm stays armed all day and any opening reaches your phone, wherever you are.
How we protect a bar, a kitchen and a cellar differently
Front of house and bar
Glazed frontages and bi-fold doors get opening contacts, and a motion detector with photo verification watches the bar and the till. When it triggers, you see a short series of pictures in the app and can tell a burglar from a forgotten cleaner.
Kitchen
Heat, steam and extractor fans are a bad mix with motion detectors. We protect the kitchen through its doors and windows instead, and can add a heat or smoke detector in the dry store, where a smouldering fault would otherwise go unnoticed overnight.
Cellar, office and stock
Spirits, wine and kegs are what thieves come back for. A contact on the cellar door or hatch, a detector on the stairs and a separate zone for the office safe let you arm the stock even while the front is open for a private event.
The back yard and bin store
In the older parts of the city centre, kitchens open onto shared yards, alleys and service roads. An outdoor detector with a camera can cover the yard and the back door. Keep it pointed at your own premises: the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) expects businesses using CCTV to tell people they are being recorded, usually with clear signs, and to capture only what they need.
One city, very different premises
A cellar bar on Call Lane
Street door at pavement level, the bar downstairs, a fire exit onto a back lane. The fire exit gets a contact that can be set to alert you even when the system is disarmed, so you know if it is propped open during service.
A café in a Briggate arcade
One hub, a contact on the shopfront, one photo detector covering the counter and a panic button behind the till for the staff.
A family restaurant on Otley Road
Busy on match days at Headingley, quiet on weekday afternoons. Separate codes for each shift manager, and automatic arming at a set time in case the last person out forgets.

From your floor plan to a working alarm, with no downtime
Describe the venue
Doors, cellar, yard, opening hours, who opens and closes. A few lines on the form or photos on WhatsApp are enough.
Receive your proposal
A VISAO technician designs the system and explains each detector and why it is there.
Order your kit
Once you approve it, we prepare, configure, name every zone and test the whole kit before shipping.
Fit it in an afternoon
Adhesive mounts, an illustrated guide and a video call with a technician who runs the final test with you, on a closed afternoon or before opening.
Who gets the alert?
The VISAO kit is self-monitored: when a detector triggers, the siren sounds and the people you choose, owner, manager, key holder, get an instant notification with the photo. You decide what happens next, and call 999 if a crime is in progress. It is not a monitored service connected to West Yorkshire Police; our guide to police response to alarms in England explains the difference. The equipment is wireless Ajax hardware with encrypted communication, battery back-up and NF&A2P certification, the French benchmark standard for intruder alarm equipment. Our team has 17 years in the trade and has worked for brands such as McDonald’s, Coca-Cola and Decathlon.
Questions from Leeds restaurant and café owners
Can staff arm and disarm without knowing the owner’s code?
Yes. Each person gets their own code or key fob, and you can remove one in the app the day someone leaves. The event log shows who armed and disarmed and when.
Will the kitchen extractor or heat set it off?
We avoid motion detectors in the kitchen and protect it through its doors and windows instead. Detector positions elsewhere are agreed with you on the video call.
We lease the unit. Is that a problem?
Nothing is drilled or wired into the building, so the premises are not altered, but check your lease and tell the landlord before fixing anything outside, such as a camera over the yard.
